Intro
This is a recounting of a trip made by myself and my
friend Dan through the Olympic National Park June 2-6, 2002. We
traveled more then 45 miles over five days, hiking from the park’s
northern to southern boarder. We experienced just about all you
could hope for;
beautiful
and
rugged
country, wild animals, solitude, plenty of fresh air, and decent
weather. We also became well acquainted with fatigue, cold,
“directional uncertainty”, and the occasional thought of what it would
be like to die in the wilderness. All in all, a highly successful
trip. Read on for all the details.
