Recipe Name: Inspiration taken from several on-line recipes
Makes Three Gallons

Ingredients:
3 pounds amber malt extract
1 quart Maple Syrup, Amber Grade A
1/4 pd crystal malt
1 oz Kent Goldings hops
1 tsp Gypsum
1 tsp Irish Moss
Wyeast Northwest Ale yeast
1 cup dried malt extract (bottling)

Starting specific gravity: 1.051
Ending specific gravity: ????
Estimated percent alcohol:????
Recipe Notes:
Steep crystal at 150 for 30 minutes.
Bring to Boil, add extract, gypsum, 1/2 oz hops.
Boil for 30 minutes.
Add syrup, 1/4 oz hops.
Boil for 20 minutes.
Add Irish Moss, 1/4 oz hops.
Boil for 10 minutes.

Comments:

I had to transfer containers to start the sakè and may have ended up contaminating this batch.
Then again, given its namesake, this would be oddly appropriate...
Fermentation died.  My first failed beer.
