Recipe Name: Inspiration taken from several on-line recipes

Ingredients:
3 pounds dark malt extract
1 pound amber malt extract
3/4 pd oatmeal
1/2 pd black patent
2 oz  Cascade hops
1/2 stick brewer's licorice
2 oz honey
1 tea bag Sleepytime tea
3/4 cup dried malt extract (bottling)

Starting specific gravity: 1.042
Ending specific gravity: 1.015
Estimated percent alcohol:  3.5%
Comments:
First tasting, before bottling- Licorice taste very prominent.  Hopefully age will mellow it somewhat.

Second tasting, after nine days- No head and little carbonation, should improve with more time.
Hop aroma very noticeable.  Licorice and hops first, then trails off to a slightly weak finish.
Needs more time.

Third tasting, 15 days.  It's good!  Licorice has mellowed to the point its strength is just a bit less then the hops.
Very nice hop aroma.  All around good beer!
